How Volunteering For a Reforestation Charity Changed The Way I Live
June 2021
ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Bethany, fashion designer and all-round creative. After graduating from University with a degree in Fashion I went into uniform design, creating a number of design ranges for corporate customers. Some of my proudest achievements in this role were designing for HSBC, CarShop and Easyjet, with successful designs distributed to over 20,000 wearers nationwide.
My next full-time design role was as a Junior Accessories Designer for a licensed design company. I designed across accessories categories including bags, socks, hats, scarves, gloves, slippers and luggage, for a variety of customers including both high street and online retailers.
My current role is as a designer for a design and manufacturing company. My responsibilities include creating detailed tech packs, simple logo and graphic design, customer consultations and sample reviews.
I'm passionate about sustainability and for the past 4 years have volunteered as a designer for The Word Forest Organisation, a reforestation charity. Together we launched a range of eco-friendly merchandise that raises money to plant trees, and I continue to work for them in my own time as and when needed.
I'm always taking on new design challenges and striving to develop my skills, check out my portfolio pages to see a selection of projects.

THE UNIVERSITY JOURNEY
In my 2nd year of study I won the Cordura Durable Design Award at The Professional Clothing Awards 2016. Following this I was lucky enough to build a relationship with Cordura and have them sponsor my Graduate Collection in 2017, which I am eternally thankful for. Thanks to the wonderful team at Cordura for this video of my work that was featured at The Professional Clothing Awards 2017.
