How Volunteering For a Reforestation Charity Changed The Way I Live

THE WORD FOREST ORGANISATION
In May 2020 I was taken on as a volunteer for The Word Forest Organisation. The charity is primarily about reforestation and combatting climate change by planting trees, along with supporting the tree-planting communities in Kenya where the majority of their planting takes place as tree growth is much quicker in the hotter climate. The charity have brought enormous beneficial support to the communities there by employing locals and facilitating education.
My role is to produce print designs for their fundraising merchandise, for garments, bags and accessories. We have successfully launched 3 collections so far.
The product range aims to support sustainable living, offering reusable shopping bags and garments that are made from 100% organic cotton which can be recycled by the supplier.

PHAT PASTY & WORD FOREST COLLABORATION
A hugely supportive sponsor of The Word Forest Organisation is The Phat Pasty Co. To celebrate their partnership, I was asked to assist with designing a small range of promotional merchandise, the proceeds of which go directly to the charity. I created a range of unique illustrated t-shirt prints that celebrated the 2 organisations, as well as a range of fun slogan designs to show Phat Pasty's quirky style.
I also designed a postcard for The Phat Pasty Co to go in their home delivery boxes.
